STAY SWEET: TALES OF QUIRKY SOUTHERN LOVE BY CHRIS CHANDLER
Are you weary of the worldâs cynicism and mean-spiritedness?
Have you had it with negativity and snark?
What if you could travel through time and space to experience the innocence, generosity of heart, acceptance, and unconditional love you crave?
A gorgeous beach we found in CA while visiting my in-laws this summer.

Chris Chandler, Jessica Stokes and Laura Zukosky at Chrisâ recent book launch. They share the same publisher, Red Thread Publishing, and have banded together to help promote each otherâs books.

Welcome to the land of sweetness, where love is served Southern-side-up. Although sheâs made her home in the West for many years, part of this authorâs heart still lives in the small central Georgia town where she was born. In this balm for the soul, Chris Chandler invites you into the center of her quirky, loving family via colorful childhood memories filtered through the wisdom of adulthood. This charming retelling of her favorite family tales speaks to a sense of place, belonging, and the way weâre shaped by our stories. Join Chris and her lovable tribe of Southern women on a journey of simplicity and sweetness, sink into the ease of Southern warmth, and the comfort of being known. Youâll laugh. Youâll cry. Youâll be reluctant to leave and may return for seconds or thirds.

HUNGRY FOR AIR BY TYKE CROWLEY AND JEN CROWLEY

Tyke Crowley lived a remarkable life. Against incredible odds, he overcame Cystic Fibrosis and two double lung transplants. In his forty-three years, he loved deeplyââhis wife, his mother and father, his sisters, his brother, his lifelong friendsââand he employed all heâd learned through his struggles to help others. He lived by his motto, make each day count, and built his legacy one day at a time with a relentless focus on his mind, body, and mission. He had simple advice for all those seeking his counsel. âBe healthy, discover your passion, and recognize that we are all part of a bigger picture in which we have the power to affect others in a positive way every day.â
Looking back, my life has been much more than Cystic Fibrosis. Yes, itâs been a story of grief, stress, and physical suffering, but at its heart, itâs been a story of the human spiritâa gift that is ours to give freely and often. Day after day, my family witnessed me struggle for each breath. They watched the pull between a soul with the will to live and a body worn out from the battle. Our will was tested, and it grew stronger from the test. We gave everything we had. Our saying, Go, if youâre going! meant not just trying a little. It meant giving it all we had without holding back, without hesitation.
I now relish the mundaneâwalking in the summer rain, brushing my teeth, drinking a cold glass of water, and kissing my wife goodnight. I see opportunityâs true form as if itâs a perfect snowflake in my hand that, if not explored, will melt before my eyes. I enjoy a heightened gratitude, especially for the time I have to spend with my family. While second chances may come, I believe I have one dance, and with each step, I revel in every movementâsome awkward, some humorous, some painful, and some perfect. I breathe in the marvels of life itself and make each day count.
